Description: a pair of vintage Lowenstein chairs that are very subtle in their charm... but they grow VERY quickly on you. Incredibly comfortable and sturdy... but the real secret detail that keeps bringing you back is the curve/twist to the rear supports behind the seat. Just that perfect detail that's not included in most similar chairs. Additionally, note the armrests are neither flat nor round, but angled rounded tops. Suddenly you notice: each piece of the support structure is a rounded triangle... it's neither square nore cylindrical... there are 3 sides. These are gorgeous and I've really fallen in love with them. I have some put aside for a personal project (I maybe have a few hundred chairs) but I'm freeing up a few. The wood will need to be stripped as the arms show a decent amount of wear. A quick project overall. The upholstery is very good, but they're an incredibly easy DIY self-reupholstery project if you want the light wood to really pop next to a bright seat. These are being sold AS A PROJECT. They will be sturdy and great chairs, but they'll need a quick loving touch. They were made by Lowenstein in 2003, but this specific model is already pretty much nonexistent if you search for them. If you'd like more than a pair of them, or have further questions, please ask.
