Description: You are bidding on a pair of Western Electric type 221 C RET or retard choke transformers. These are very nice transformers removed from a piece of Western Electric audio equipment. The windings are good, measuring about 200 ohms, with an inductance of 5 H, as per the specifications. There is no date code indicated, but other components from the same unit were dated 1937. Both have fairly long leads, but one lead is a little shorter on one transformer. In size, they measure roughly 3 1/4 inches tall and 1 ¾ inches square, in cross section. They are cosmetically very nice, and are high quality transformers that should be great for your tube amplifier. Shipping weight is 3 pounds.
