Cosmetically the unit is challenged. There looks what appears to be rust on the chassis and on the buttons. The unit may smell a touch of tobacco smoke but I am uncertain(I'm usually very sensitive to that) as what remains is feint and innocuous. I have done a good amount of cleaning but the unit could use more. Most of the rust that you see I would consider unremovable. I took a look inside and took some photos. The inside looks surprisingly good compared to the outside. The remote is tested and has some scratches in the indentation on the back. Please look closely at all of the photos.
