Description: PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS This is a group lot of 4 letterheads/invoices from various Parishville NY businesses. They are as follows: NOTE: I've been selling letterheads for many years. These ones were listed individually for under ten dollars and I would simply mail them in a normal sized envelope. Some have never been listed. However, more recently I was informed that I have to have tracking on all items and it is too expensive for the buyer if I sell a $4.95 letter with $5.95+ shipping. If I do not add tracking it will affect my seller performance, so I decided to remove most of my letterheads and sell them in group lots such as this. List and Info as follows: 1) PARISHVILLE LUMBER: Blank 1900s letterhead from Parishville Lumber & Mfg Co. S.L. Clark; Pliny J. Clark; Royal Newton; and Fred D. Gilmore indicated along top edge. Left side has very faint numbers; middle fold is slightly darkened, else clean & bright; normal letter sized page. NOTES: The lumber industry flourished, with sawmills and smaller mfging companies fueling a boom town in the Hamlet of Parishville, until NY State began to acquire some of the cut over forest acreage via tax sales that formed the beginnings of the White Hill Wild Forest. Eventually the timber was depleted, log drives were over and the end of the lumbering industry was signaled by the close of S.L. Clark and son in 1908. Mr. Clark also had a successful butter factory.
