Pat Boone: Speedy Gonzales/The Locket 1962 Dot 45-16368 Indianapolis Press VG+

Description: For sale is a 7 Inch 45 RPM vinyl record by Pat Boone titled "Speedy Gonzalez b/w The Locket", originally released in 1962 by Dot Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is machine stamped an upper case "I", indicating that this record was made at RCA Records' pressing plant located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The original inner sleeve is graded as Very Good Plus because of a small tear along the top opening and some ring wear. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of some superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this single as Very Good Plus, because of occasional low level surface noise, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This is still the best copy of this rare reacord that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find another one like this one, especially an Indianapolis pressing. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
