Description: Pennsylvania House is the manufacturer of this cherry king-size bed. Sadly, they are no longer in business. Their wood of choice was cherry, which has a warm reddish tint and a lovely grain to it. This particular model features four posts ornamented with traditional rice motifs that are topped off with removable finials. It can accommodate either a queen-size or king-size mattress depending on which slots you use in the headboard and the footboard (refer to picture 15). I also have the wooden slats that fit into the bottom part, but I didn't include them in the pictures. This is a vintage bed, so it is not in perfect condition. There are some faint scratches on the headboard and a few areas of wear on the feet. There is a manufacturer's stamp on the back side of the front of the bed, along with what appears to be a date, 2-88 (refer to picture 11).
