Description: The bills of the April 10, 1777 Pennsylvania issue were passed for the purpose of supporting the army. This note was printed by John Dunlap. The majority of notes from this series were printed in only black ink, but these red and black notes were introduced to fulfill the remaining balance for the issue. Only 24 of these red 4 Shilling notes are known to exist compared to 76 known for its black ink counterpart. Nice problem free note.
