The last photos are of the plant you will receive, first photos show the incredible blooms it has. Stunning flowers! The blooms on this one are considered one of the best! The showy blossoms appear in late spring and here in zone 9 may bloom two or three times during the season into June and later. The flowers open during the evening and last up to 5 days if it's cool or overcast. Use it as a desert accent plant in rock gardens, in groupings surrounded by boulders, and in raised planters or containers. Maintenance This plant needs moderate water during hot dry summers, but is drought-tolerant and should not be over-watered. Plant it in full sun to partial shade, and in sandy, well-draining soil. Growing / Planting your cactus: These need well drained soil or a cactus mix if placed in a pot, they can handle full sun but prefer some shade during our hot summers.
