You can also directly sow your seeds into the ground after the last frost when the soil has become workable.WHERE TO PLANT COREOPSISWhether you are transplanting or directly sowing, choose a well lit area with well-draining soil. HOW TO PLANT COREOPSISOnce all weeds are removed, plant your Coreopsis seeds 1/2" deep and lightly cover them with soil or lightly press them in. These seeds need sunlight to germinate so make sure you don't fully cover them. If transplanting, dig a hole big enough to engulf the root ball and surround with fertile soil. The top of the root ball should be level with the ground. Routinely water plants but be careful not to overwater.HOW TO CARE FOR COREOPSISWhen blooms begin to fade, deadhead them to encourage new growth. Thin out plants when they become 2" tall.SEED STORINGStore your seeds in a cool, dry and dark location. Most seeds have a long shelf life at least two years, but heat and moisture will cut that life short.Dedicate a drawer or cabinet to storing your seeds where you can also house your gardening journal close at hand for dreaming, planning and preparing.WE SHIP FAST & FREE!
