Description: Art deco style bear from the Latvian born, Maigon Daga. Daga studied in Austria, where had a studio until 1965 when he moved to the US. He lived and worked in Minneapolis, Minn. until his death in 2001. Maigon Daga was a Master Listed Ceramist. This bear is approx. 7 inches long X 5 inches wide X 5 inches tall, total size is approx. 5 inches wide by 8.5 inches long and 6.5 inches tall (measurements including the marble). Signed (part of mold) on the bottom of the bear and mounted on white marble. Bear looks to be moving across an ice floe. From an estate of collector that had each piece stored in a glass cabinet, no pets and no smoking home. Buy Happy!
