Description: This is a nice post-WWII Soviet Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class that is excellent condition. It is constructed of sterling silver and with perfect red enamel in the center of the star and in the arms of the cross. The reverse is marked with a raised ‘монетный двор’ (Monetny Dvor) mint mark and hand engraved with the number ‘5429380’. This was one of the orders awarded in 1985 to all surviving members of the Soviet Armed Forces who served in WWII. The decoration has been cut from a soviet uniform with the original uniform mater and lining still sandwiched between the star and the backplate. A late decoration for a deserving member of the Soviet Military who participated in the great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Excellent and undamaged. 8976
