TAGLINES : "Will it drive you to dream of things you're ashamed to admit!" "Are you afraid of things that can come out of Your Dreams... Lust, murder, secret desires?" "Do you know you may be driven to dream of sex... Of murder... Of secret desires you're ashamed to admit when awake?" - A wealthy woman is terrorized by recurring dreams regarding her jealous, blind husband who supposedly burned to death in a recent fire. She tries to convince her attorney that the nightmares are real. CAST includes Robert Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck, Judith Meredith, Lloyd Bochner, Hayden Rorke, Jess Barker, Rochelle Hudson, Marjorie Bennett, Paul Frees (narrator). BEHIND THE SCENES TRIVIA : Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck had been married and did several movies together, but were divorced by 1951. Director William Castle talked them into appearing together in this movie, and then promoted his action with the tagline, "Together Again!" Barbara Stanwyck's final feature film. She thereafter worked exclusively in television. The goat demon shown in the poster only appears in the opening sequence where the narrator is talking about dreams. The promotional artwork is based on Henry Fuseli's oil painting "The Nightmare" (1781).
