You are looking at one of the coolest motorized units from the postwar era. This is the super cool Atomic Energy Commission Vulcan gas switcher from the postwar era. This is the hardest to find of the postwar gas diesel switcher motorized units. This motorized unit has three position reverse via the e-unit and an operating coupler. The cream color is uniform as the Lionel white plastic of these units almost always changed color with time to this cream shade. One window strut has been repaired. The motor has been lightly serviced, and it is running smoothly. We have more postwar motorized units coming in the next week or so. CONDITION: C-6+. Serviced and running smoothly. I think both window struts have been rebuilt or replaced a long time ago. One for sure, likely the other. They are well done. Screwholes are in tact--no visible cracks. Some oxidation/surface rust spots on the metal handrails as pictured. Some light scratches here and there, but over all looks quite nice. Print is good.
