Connect YELLOW wire set to YOUR 13.8 VDC power supply DC output (like the Samlex SEC-1235M that we sell here on eBay) Connect BLUE wire set to your load (radios, repeater, etc that run on your 13.8 VDC power supply) Connect RED wire set to 11-15 YOUR battery Has mounting tab if you wish to mount it. When your power supply fails or AC power fails to your power supply, the relay automatically switches your load (radios, etc) to your battery. When AC power to your power supply returns, the relay then switches back to operate your equipment on the power supply as normal. Note: this is a relay with less than 10 ms switching time. Some radios may interpret this momentary loss of power and restart. Remember, the alternative is much more expensive, so you decide whether saving lots of money is worth this small caveat, you understand and accept this.
