Description: This very engaging pair of prints were produced by the Late Georgian caricaturists Laurie and Whittle (Robert Laurie and John Whittle). They were self published in 1803 at 53 Fleet Street, London. The first etching is entitled Belles and Beaux of Paris and it depicts two very fashionably dressed amorous couples strolling the streets of Paris. The second etching is entitled Winter Amusement and it too features fashionably young people of the Regency period enjoying skating and a brisk Winter day. The prints are both framed and matted to match. The mattes appear to be archival. The framed pieces are 14.5" wide x 13". The image size is 9.5" x 8". I have not inspected these Regency period prints out of their frames but both appear to be in slightly toned but otherwise very good condition. Stock Number SA2D-179,180
