Description: All Original pre-WWI US Army Officer's M1902 Visor Bell Cap - Original - Very NICE Condition Up for sale is an Original pre-WWI US Army Officer's M1902 Visor Bell Cap or Hat. This hat has a wool exterior covering with a leather brim and braided chin strap. No mothing damage on the wool covering, see photos. The brim is intact, no breaks or warping. The chin strap is also intact, no rips or tears. It has the early US Army Eagle Cap Badge and the Army Eagle side buttons on the chin strap. The interior has a fabric lining and leather sweat band. The lining is intact, not all torn up as you commonly find on these older caps. The leather sweat band is present. No cracks or tears. It is still soft and supple. Some stitching coming loose in the front of the cap. The lining still has the manufacturer markings, Browning & King Co. see photo, This is a nice original cap, with wear commensurate with it age and prior usage. Size is estimate at 6 7/8.
