Description: Precision tap follower. Made in the U.S.A. by me in my Arizona shop. This is a tap follower for any size tap. All A311 steel construction. the shank size is 1/2" to fit any 1/2 collet, drill press or lathe chuck. Main body diameter is .870" It features a 7lb. stainless steel spring to give solid pressure to eliminate any possibility of slipping. It includes two hardened and ground pins for use with male or female tap ends.Full depth of pin travel is 1" (simply unscrew the post, remove spring and swap the pins drop in the spring and reinstall the post) Pin diameter is 3/8" for increased rigidity. the body is black nitride coated for exceptional durability, solvent and oil resistance. Overall weight is 7.4 oz This design is my own creation that I made and use in my own shop.
