Description: I "AM NOT" a Colt single action expert, and this listing is what information I came up to share. You need to do your research, as my assumption might not be correct. Please make sure this will work for you, as this "IS NOT" returnable. Ask questions if need be. As always, installation by a professional gunsmith is advised. Adolphe Lenard ( AD ) Forkey was a gunsmith in San Antonio Texas in the 1940's and 1950's and probably a bit later and did a lot of work for law enforcement throughout the state and did chrome plating as I understand it. He passed away in 1978. This barrel is stamped AD Forkey on the lower right side near the threads. This would be cool to put this on a "TEXAS RANGER" Colt display revolver. Barrel for a Colt 1873 Single Action SAA revolver. ( To me looks chrome plated and not nickel pated. ) 5-1/2" overall length Caliber 45 marked on left Single line "Colt's MFG. Co." on right side indicating this was a "Pre war / Post war" replacement barrel made in the later part of the 1940's through the mid 1950's Could be considered a 1st or 2nd generation barrel as it is in between each versions. Good threads - 20 TPI Excellent bore
