Bob Hope mounting his fiery steed in the Fulton-Dekalb Horse Show Parade down Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia Wednesday, May 26. Jerry Colonna, Hope's radio pal, was also in the parade. Hope struggled with his boots for fifteen minutes, finally had to cut them to get them on, then the Paramount star and Colonna had to to catch up with the parade (and their horses) by automobile. The two radio and screen celebrities road down Peachtree Street on the hood of parade chairman Fred Cannon's Cadillac, and finally overtook their horses. The Fulton-Dekalb Horse Show will be at North Fulton Park, Atlanta, May 27-28-29. It is for the benefit of the U.S. Army Convalescent Hospital...McPherson near Atlanta.Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
