Description: PRICE REDUCED 7/3/2024: HOME MADE NATIVE AMERICAN FIXED BLADE PRESENTATION KNIFE: This knife is typical of practical tools used in the past by Native American hunters for skinning, gutting and butchering meat for cooking. The antler handle has been left untrimmed for obvious decorative enhancement. The blade was taken from a rusting, outdated farm implement and attached to the antler with shrunken rawhide. The blade is unsharpened; buyer can grind it or leave the edge as it is for safe display. I met the maker at a gun show in Wisconsin. He had several fashions of knives, baskets, window decorations, dream-catchers, knife sheaths and carrying-devices. We talked for about a half hour about the old ways of his life and he said that modern times really are better. The knife demonstrates what is now only a hobby, taking advantage of natural materials, scavenged materials and imaginative coordination of the harvested parts. What to do with this knife is for the buyer to decide; whatever choice you make will be the correct, intended purpose. Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest. Please see my other knives and save postage. I am liquidating my entire collection; please keep me in your favorite sellers, watching for Old Bryan's Old Knives or the seller name below.
