An adapter is also supplied to allow connecting to the later C and US5000 models. US2000, US2000+, US2000B, US2000C, US3000, US3000+, US3000B, US3000C & US5000 The cable comes with drivers and will work with Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10/11. The cable will also work with a Raspberry Pi using minicom or similar terminal application. The cable supports automatic protocol handshake and will report the revision of the BMS (battery management system) inside your master battery. There are Status, RX and TX LED's so you can see the data being sent and received. If you have the short black link cables fitted between your batteries, this will allow you to communicate with all modules by connecting to just the master. Once connected, you will be able to diagnose the following: Battery Module SOH (State of Health) - you can view the state of health for each battery module, rather than just seeing a SOH percentage for the overall bank. This lets you view if a single battery modules capacity is less than the others in the pack.Battery Cell Voltage - (Each US2000 or US3000 have 15 or more LiFePO4 cells with a nominal voltage of 3.3V/50A . For the battery to work efficiently as a 48V/50A module each cell needs to be balanced ideally within 0.05V.Battery Balancing - If you are adding new or used battery modules to an existing bank, you will be able to monitor voltages of individual modules and even cells within modules. You can diagnose weak cells or modules within your battery bank. BMS software revision - When adding new battery modules to your existing bank, you should always have the battery module with the latest BMS software revision as the master. You will be able to view the software revision, manufacture date, serial number, module number etc.Battery cell temperature - Are you looking to get the most out of your batteries? Temperature plays a big factor in making sure you'll get the 6000 charge cycles these batteries are designed for. Monitor the temperature at a cell level while charging. Make sure they are around 20-25degC.Battery History Viewer - Are you looking to buy used batteries to add to your existing bank? If so then being able to view the history of a battery from day 1 is essential. Buying and fitting a battery module that's been abused (Over or under charged) could reduce the overall capacity of your bank. The data you can view is shown below, but includes: Cycle count, charge count, discharge count, idle times, Over voltage times, under voltage times etc.Charge Cycles - US2000 and US3000 modules are rated for 4500 or 6000 charge cycles, depending on the DOD (depth of discharge). Keeping an eye on your charge cycles will let you calculate if adding an extra module may be a worthwhile decisionSystem Health - The following system health can be read, this is useful for warranty claims - System Remaining Capacity, System Fully Charged Capacity, System State Of Health, System State Of Charge. Cable Specifications: The cable is 3.5m overall in length, 2.5m between the console plug and the electronics enclosure and then an additional 1m USB cable.
