Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique English Pottery. Beautiful and rare 1830s large 10" Spatterware pitcher jug. Unmarked. Many of the early English potters made this type of ware and most is unmarked. Maker unknown. This dates to the 1830s to Circa 1835. Spatterware was a type of ware that used sponges to create pattern. Some had central pattern of a rose, pineapple, schoolhouse, star, and many others. This is a simple all over spatter pattern. Although simple the large early 1830 spatterware pitchers are hard to come by. Antique. Over 180 years old. Although this displays beautifully, it is not perfect. There is an old inner rim chip restoration(pic #6)(Confined to inner rim and has sort of discolored over time). No other damage. There may be typical in-the-making imperfection like stilt marks, sand grit loss, glaze bubbles that may be noticed. Beautiful very hard to find example. Measures about 10" tall. Guaranteed old and early 19th Century. Look at pics as they are considered part of the description. Shipping total includes insurance, confirmation. BID WITH CONFIDENCE .
