Description: A nice Robert White of St Andrews putter. This early brass or gun metal head putter dates to the 1880s. It has a near perfect stamp that is not often seen by this maker. It also has the number 112 on it, which was sometimes used to keep track of production dates, as in the 1112th putter or brass head made. White was one of the original 7 blacksmiths turned clubmaker. Early clubs are scarce as golf hadn't had a lot of exposure up to this point, and it was still a game for the affluent, and it would be many years before Americans discovered the game. You will see thousands of hickories between early club sightings. Here is a chance to get an early iron from a great maker at a reasonable price. Shipping via UPS ground
