Description: Very RARE! 1897 High Admiral Cigarette 1.25" Pinback Give-Away Pinback Picturing Bob Armstrong. Armstrong was a World Colored Heavyweight Champion. For years it was thought that this "Don't Bother Me" African-American fighter was Peter Jackson. However, a review of early boxing photos strongly suggest the boxer pictured is Bob Armstrong. He was also known as "King of the Battle Royal". The "High Admiral Cigarette" printing at the top of the pinback is partially cut off that was done during the production process. Reverse has a Whitehead & Hoag paper around a December 1896 and used throughout 1897. Overall condition is excellent with a very tiny raised cello bump and equally tiny light spot at the top of his head. Still has its gloss.
