Gillings 'Amazing Science Fiction' - Issue #1 Published 1937 by The World's Work (1913) Ltd A genuine original, this is issue no. 1 of the first ever adult oriented UK science fiction magazine, published in 1937; at first publishing solely original material from British authors and reprints from US magazines and later adding new material from American authors. The magazine had to cease publication after sixteen issues due to wartime paper restrictions. In good vintage used condition with pictoral wrappers and 127 pages of text. All pages are attached and clean. The cover is somewhat worn and torn at the edge and spine. There is some discolouration around the staples. The items I sell are in a used antique or vintage condition. This means they may have related flaws or defects.
