Description: RARE 1942 US BUREAU MINES SLC EXPERIMENT STATION 1ST ALUMINUM ASHTRAY BUFFALO This is an original ashtray made by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of mines in July of 1942. It was made at the Salt Lake City Experiment Station of the first aluminum made from clay. In the center is an image of a bison or buffalo. The ashtray is 4.75" diameter at the base.
