Description: Rare 1981 Jerry Clower Show Pamphlet - Randolph High, Wedowee Alabama 04/18. - - - - I will start by saying I have not been able to find another show pamphlet like this across multiple search efforts. This was not originally my booklet/pamphlet for the show so I cannot guarantee this show date and I am unable to find out any information about it, but he did have live tour recordings during this year so it is quite possible in all his tours that he stopped through a neighboring Southern state. The great comedian of the South USA, Jerry Clower made people laugh with many funny tales that could be found on record and tape. From Yazoo City Mississippi, Clower’s tales of the Ledbetters and raccoon hunting dog adventures were fan favorites. This particular pamphlet is quite simple - inside you see a story and history about the man himself with a quote on the back. It is a printed signature and not one he personally gave. The cover reads “JERRY CLOWER SHOW” and below his photo and where he is from it says “Randolph County High School Football Field Wedowee, Alabama 7:30 P.M. Sat., April 18, 1981” If you’re a Jerry Clower fan and maybe have a collection of memorabilia then this is a really interesting piece for you. Especially if you were by chance at this very show and possibly remember it? On to condition notes - the booklet has a slick surface on the outside and normal matte type surface inside. White paper with mostly black lettering and some red, black and white photo. Now this would be nearly 42 years old so while it is in tact and no tears, there is discoloration and scratches into the surface on the outside with a bit of crinkled look to the surface also. It’s by no means perfect and pristine, but it appears to be a real hard to find and rare treasure of Clower’s show days.
