Description: Technique Stenciled. Style Aesthetic. Maker Woolliscroft & Son. Date 1890. Size 6"x 6" Rare stencilled Aesthetic design a fabulous tile to add to any collection especially as this technique was only used by George Woolliscroft & Son. I had never come across this method of Stenciled design it was sponged on to paper then applied to the tile. It's in good condition with just three tiny nibbles on the surface on the right side of the tile also there is one tiny pimple on the dark border near the top right corner. Please check the photos carefully as this forms part of the description. It came on two different back patterns this one has the pattern no 596 and the initials DF and the reg no 108270 and the monogram DFCO.
