Description: Wow! What a find. This just spoke to me from across the room and I had to save it. In the style of the San Bushman of Africa comes this piece of etched and painted reclaimed wood in the style of prehistoric cave paintings. It was obviously milled wood at some point so it’s not that old perhaps 20th century. But into it are delicately carved African animals such as eland and an elephant and maybe giraffe. Hunters surround the animals, one astride an animal that could be a horse. The colors appear to be natural pigments such as sienna and ocher. But this has such charm and talent to it. Really I think this should be in a museum. I hope you find out more about. If I’m wrong, please educate me.
