Description: This is an antique framed lithograph print of “The ladies’ flower-garden of ornamental annuals” (1840), Plate 16, as seen in the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives in the Biodiversity Heritage Library. The print is recessed in the frame 1.75". It is double-framed: a hand-carved and varnished wood frame surrounds a gold frame. Inside, the print is matted. It is really beautiful and needs to be seen in person. I don't know exactly how old it is, but the carved frame is a 19th century Mexican skilled craft. I think the date is 1940 by the style of framing.
