Description: Very rare antique German bisque head doll made by Hertel, Schwab & Co ca. 1912-1915. The doll stands 15" (38 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. There is a strange mark in the making at the back of her head that retains some of her wig glue. The head is marked on the bottom of her neck with only an incised "141" and a "4" her size number She has painted blue intaglio eyes, an open closed mouth with full lips, and dimples. She wears a vintage blonde mohair wig. Her fully jointed original wood and composition body is in good condition. There is some wear to her buttocks and her toes. This cutie wears an antique plaid dress trimmed with brass buttons, a cotton onesie, and antique leather shoes. I found her a military style plaid and velvet cap that is a little large but perfectly matches her plaid dress.
