Description: Here is an Antique Venetian Glass Beads beaded necklace that features a mix of rare Venetian fancy glass beads (there are 2 millefioris) and a few Czech glass beads thrown in for good measure. Definitely a fine collectable piece. Necklace is 23.5" long making this a choker type necklace. There are 24 Venetian fancy beads and 17 fancy Czech glass beads. There is even a Chinese cloisonne bead! Largest Venetian glass bead (center bead) is 15 mm. Smallest bead is a green foil bead 2nd from clasp which comes in at 6 mm. Of particular note is an extremely rare Venetian fancy bead. It is the third bead up from the center. Blue with 3 ridges, (16th picture shows it close up). If I cut this necklace up to sell the bead I'm sure I'd get $100 for it easy. The screw together brass clasp is age appropriate to this piece. I see no issues with the beads. The beads are strung on silk cord and it tight. As these beads are made by hand there will be variations in style, size, and decor.
