The box has a beautiful light wood tone and dates back to the late 1800s, making it a true antique Americana piece. The box is made of sturdy wood and is perfect for storage or display. The box's dimensions are 26 1/2" by 13 1/4" by 13 1/4". It is a marked original, from Brooklyn, New York. The Bommer Spring Hinge Co. is known for its quality craftsmanship of hinges, and this box is no exception - standing the test of time and well over 125 years old. It is a great addition to any antique or primitive collection or interior decor! Excellent antique condition. Wood has some wear from age as to be expected. One nail (original to the making of the crate) did create as small split in the wood on one of the side bottom edges. Noted for accuracy and shown in the pictures. See pictures for details.
