RARE Brooke Tucker Original mini Room Box of Cat on Window Seat -Dollhouse 1:12

Description: So pleased to be able to offer this RARE Vintage and elegant Brooke Tucker ORIGINAL electrified room box in Miniature Dollhouse 1:12 scale (ROOM BOX or roombox) created in 1996MEASUREMENTS: 12 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 7 inches deep This glass fronted room was designed to be viewed from either the front viewpoint or left and right three quarter viewpoints. Each vantage point gives a slightly different perspective to the scene within. The window seat is centered within the box and sits in front of a large bay window looking out onto a snowy backyard scene of trees with snow laden branches. The light outside is intentionally a cool blue, while the interior light is a warm glowing gold. Drapes that puddle to the ground frame the window, and a fabric covered rod supports a valance that tops the scene with graceful flowing curves. The matching fabric also covers the window seat which has been piled high with a warm and colorful array of pillows. Taking advantage of this soft comfy spot, is a sweet cat by Amanda Skinner. She looks up as if she hears some snowbirds outdoors. On the two side walls are framed artwork held in place by ribbons. The entire scene is matted in matching fabric and then enclosed by a carved floral and foliage wooden frame. MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: Brooke was an IGMA Fellow of world renown. Now deceased, she was probably one of the best recognized creators of gorgeous room boxes, and always displayed within them, some of the finest pieces available. Her work was always first rate, and her sense of style was greatly admired. She often made room boxes that were devoted to a specific theme, or custom built for a specific person, as was this one. As seen on the gold plaque on the front, the room box is "An Original by Brooke Tucker". However what is not seen until the back door of the room box has been opened, is the hand written note from Brooke herself, stating, "For one of the greatest friends a person could ask for. With love on Christmas 1996." Measurements: The entire room box is12 inches wide by 7 inches deep, by 12 inches tall. It is filled with all the miniature treasures you see in the photos.
