RARE!! c.a. 1800s GEORGE WASHINGTON ORIGINAL ENGRAVING

Description: INFO: *I live in the Yorktown, Va area and acquired this engraving of Washington at a local Yorktown vintage shop. Having never seen this image before, I have researched it on the web and can find only one represented copy which was a cropped version published in a book. The engraving I have listed is a full (13.5 in. x 9.0 in.) separately published engraving for framing. The fact that it was located here in Yorktown and is the 'French' version I found intriguing, but I have no further provenance. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 CONDITION: SOLD 'AS IS' & 'AS PICTURED' - It has small tears and creases around the perimeter but could easily be mounted and framed in a way where most of that wouldn't be noticed. I decided to sell it as is without trimming it and let the new owner custom frame it however they want. There is also scattered light foxing (See Scan). Due to its rarity, it may be worth sending it to a conservator for minor repairs prior to framing.
