Description: Magnificent and Rare Kangxi period Enamel decorated Charger dish . Superb enamel decoration. Circa 1710. The dish has a stylised border pattern depiction of white stylised flora with gilt accents on a deep red base. The central cartouche is a garden scene with a superbly drawn bird on a blossom tree amongst flowers. This is a very rare design The dish is also of a wonderful shaped design fluted interior and shaped rim. The dish has had a very small early (possibly a staple repair) which has been professionally and sympathetically restored in fairly recent times to an exceptional standard rendering the repair to be almost completely invisible. A superb large dish for any Chinese collection of note.
