Description: Rare Ecuador Folk Art Pottery Bull Fight Matador Figurine Arena Pujili, Olmos This is an amazing piece, rare and unique. Couldn't find another one like this in my search. So colorful and detailed. No matter how many times you look at it, you can still see new details. Marked: Olmos Hmos - Pujili - Ecuador The matador/bull fighter is in the middle of the arena and the spectators are standing all around it, on the other side of the wall. What is so precious, is that each person has a different character, On one side is the band, I can see someone playing the guitar, the accordion, cymbals, some kind of flute and drums. There are 4 mothers with their babies, a couple kissing, someone is drinking (a cerveza?). It looks like a very lively and fun event. Very delicate piece and will need to be handled very carefully. They are in excellent condition, I can only see one person who has one hand missing, but it's hard to see because the piece is so detailed. The red cape also seems to have been repaired, but I got it that way, so I don't know if it's original or not. There are around 25 characters and 1 bull. Around 8" in diameter x 2.5" in height.
