Description: This is a very rare and super cool natural matrix display which exhibits two almost whole fossil Spruce Cones sometimes referred to as a fossil Pinecones with a piece of petrified wood which was hand dug in the Virgin Valley of Nevada. This Mid Miocene fossil specimen was hand dug and carved out of the matrix and then stabilized in place on the matrix just as it was found and stands nicely for display. This spruce cone display in matrix measures 5 inches wide by 3.45 inches high and 1.95 inches thick. The larger Spruce cone measures 4.67 inches long and the piece of fossil wood measures 1.79 inches wide. This Virgin Valley Spruce cone and wood in matrix specimen would be an excellent addition to any rock and mineral collection.
