Description: Really cool old piece from a local estate that is dated October 28, 1921 and is a Plan of the International Paper Company "Wilder Mill" Wilder, Vermont (Town of Hartford). It measures 21" by 26". This original piece has some wrinkiling but is in decent shape for over 100 years old. This would be a great piece framed! It will be shipped rolled. Please see pictures and ask any questions. Wilder, VermontWilder was one of the first 'planned communities' in the area and also is a Historic District. Charles Wilder and his brothers from Boston arrived in 1880 and proceeded to build an extensive paper mill to supply the city newspapers on the Connecticut River. He also built housing for the workers and contributed much to the enhancement of the village. Upon his death, he left enough to build the Wilder Club and Library and a much sought-after bridge across the Connecticut River on the condition that the town change the name from Olcott Falls to Wilder. After much controversy, the bridge was built but was dismantled when the current electric generating plant and dam were constructed in 1950.
