Description: Rare Sascha Brastoff Commemorative Platter made for Lindley Bothwell (1901-1986).Bothwell was a prosperous Southern California orange grower, a consulting citrus agriculturalist from his Lindley Bothwell Ranch in the San Fernando Valley, and a world rennown antique automobile collector and racer. He is well known for being a founding member of the Trojan Knights, as well as a Yell Leader at the University of Southern California (USC) and for his invention of moving card stunts in stadium bleachers. He was the founder and volunteer coach of the USC Yell Leaders and Song Girls for 60 years. This mid century ceramic platter is hand painted with color variations of gold metallic, turquoise, beige, off white, pale hues of gray and blue. Signed on front bottom Sascha B, with a winged horse, signed on back Sascha Brastoff California with the rooster figure.
