Description: The rare beauty of Consuelo Frank Galza and the movie makeup industry in general is that I can bring up a handful of Consuelo photos and not be able to verify it is indeed the same person without historic verification. That said, it is the comparison to her biography photo from the Notre Cinema site (included in this listing) that gives me confidence this is indeed a rare and perhaps OOAK 6.5" x 10.5" affectionately personalized, signed and dated in blue ink by Consuelo Frank. It was dated at the height of her career on 5-12-43 and signed "With much love to Angela and Arturo. I don't know much about the size standards for Mexican photography, but I assume the unusual size of this original photo print is related to being from Mexico and not the United States. You can never be sure which particular photo an actress is most happy with and prefers to offer out with signature so I don't know that this particular photo was from a movie close to that date. Her age and features in this photo certainly match the 1943 time line. I will research further to try and determine the film portrayed if it is indeed a costume shot from a film. Hopefully someone reading this listing will know more. I cannot find any signed photos from Consuelo Frank so I believe this to be a truly rare holding. I trust it will find a very appreciative new home and I believe I have priced favorably in my desire to accomplish that.
