RARE ORIG 1925 HAND COLORED LOUIS ICART ETCHING SIGNED Artist Proof FISH BOWL

Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Icart Etching from a longtime collector of Icarts, Southwest Art, as well as other forms. This Estate Sale started Friday 6/30, and I saw these and felt there were really good. Admittedly, I am no expert on Icarts, far from it, but the signs I saw on several of them, including this piece, convinced me to go back Saturday & roll the dice on a couple more of them, like this one. There is only one other left, and like this piece, I think its a good one. I do not know the title of this piece but I love the look of this young lady lovingly displaying her Fish Bowl. Its adorable! I would not be surprised if that is indeed the actual title. It is pencil Signed and it is definitely a live signature. It also has a couple letters to the border edge visible around the 7:00 area - AP, which I am pretty sure it means Artist Proof. That is a good thing and makes this a scarce image. It is Hand Watercolored and I know that is accurate as confirmed thru a loop. I sell a lot of original Currier & Ives so I am familiar with the process. It has a Copyright notation on the upper L edge dated 1924. It has no other writing or information visible on its border edge. The etching is in great condition as described above. I know some of these genuine Etchings have sold in excess of 1000.00 and way more. Its a beautiful piece and one of my favorites due to its whimsical nature. It is NOT a modern reprint.
