Description: Rare Raymor Italy Pottery Horse Sculpture Studio 4 Quattro Bitossi/Bagni Era This amazingly rare vintage Italian pottery horse was produced by Raymor and is believed to have been made by Studio 4 (Quattro) and features the wonderful design of a trojan style horse. Lelio Rossi was born in Yugoslavia and in 1948 moved his family to Italy where he started his career as a ceramist and decorator. In 1968, he began a collaboration with Bitossi Cermiche under the artistic direction of Aldo Londi. In 1972, he left Bitossi and with several other former Bitossi employees, he started Studio (4) Quattro. Approx. measurements are 11 1/2" tall and approx 11 1/2" in length.Excellent vintage condition without chips cracks or repairs. Minor manufacturing flaws as is common with this style of pottery. As nice as you will ever find.There is remnants of a Raymor label on bottom. I can read "of Good and the straight leg of the T and slant leg of the A". Their motto reads "Modern in the Tradition of Good Taste".Really a wonderful Italian art pottery horse in a nice large size. ~Please note~Please look at the photos carefully as they are an important part of my description.
