RARE Uruguay Soccer magazine 1939 Piendibene 1st World Cup Centenario Stadium

What are you bidding on?You are bidding on a rare magazine with 20 pages in Spanish from 1939 FANTOCHE with memories from the amazing 1st World Cup that was held in Uruguay in 1930 (9 years before). The front cover shows the famous Tower of Homage from the Estadio Centenario and the face of the great player Jose Piendibene. Is the 1st number and 1st year from the magazine. It brings great images and wonderful advertising. The mythical Centenario Stadium was built specifically for the First Soccer World Cup held in Montevideo, Uruguay. This was the first ever stadium in the world to be built to held a World Cup. It was finished in only 8 months, an unbelievable short time even for today's standards. The architect was Mr. Scasso. It was called Centenario because it was completed exactly 100 years after the independence process of Uruguay.You will receive it folded in 2 as I received it. Indeed a great item for the top collector! Size: It is 14" x 11 1/2" approximately when closed. Condition: Condition is rather poor as observed.The are some tears around the borders as observed. First page almost fully detached/loose. Piendibene's image with a long tear.The bottom half of last page is missing. Some discoloration and some bent corners can be expected. Please see closely the photos provided. You get what you see in the pics. What you do not see, you do not get.
