Description: Fantastic, vintage wooden octagon box purse by Anton Pieck dating from the 1970s. Featuring decoupaged scenes of Colonial Boston including the harbor with masted ships and merchants, shops with goods, soldiers, and Paul Revere's Silver shop. The handle is made of a camel colored Lucite and the hardware is in good condition. The interior of the box is lined with a thin, red felt fabric which is in pretty good condition considering it's age. There are some black marks on the felt, which is up to the buyer to clean if desired. There is also an oval mirror affixed to the underside of the lid. The box itself is in excellent, vintage condition with no cracks, separation, or warping that I can see. The decoupage is in very good condition with no separation and only one small spot on the front panel where it has been torn (see pictures). There is some white transfer on the bottom, but that does not impact the look or use of the piece. Can be used as a purse or to store nik-nacks or other treasures. Could be a great box to use as a sewing kit. Please see pictures for any issues prior to purchase and contact me if you have any questions. Measurements: approx. 9.25" long x 7" wide x 5.75" tall (w/o handle) *Please Note - the last day for shipping before the holiday is December 17th. Any item purchased after that date will be shipped after the New Year.
