Description: This is a Chikusa Gold Castle cup and saucer made in Japan. The pattern is a rare one. I could only find one saucer in this pattern on Replacements Ltd. and they titled it, "Fruit Basket". The porcelain is white, embellished with gold paint trim and a very pale yellow border featuring bowls of fruit, golden and red apples, purple grapes, green leaves, and floral garlands of yellow roses and other red, blue and white flowers. There are some specks of paint loss due to age but very minimal. Please see pictures. Both cup and saucer are marked, "Gold Castle, Chikusa, Made in Japan. A rare and lovely set.
