We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is BEYOND MINT. The spine is unbroken. There is no dust jacket but the flaps are extended and cover the first page. Actual front and back cover have no damage. No marks or highlighting in text except for a note stating where bought in pencil on the front inside page. Cover lies flat. Some color photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This is one of those books with a cardboard dust jacket/cover that that covers the first and last 'normal' page of a book. It has 51 plates, many of which are full color! There is NOTHING wrong with this book! It was bought it at Cranbrook museum, which, compared to a book store, has way less foot traffic. She bought it in 1978, which means it sat on a shelf for 6 years. And, we did confirm this is a 1972 1st edition per the Library of Congress. We have no idea why the LOC number starts with 78 but even the LOC says it was 1972. There are no reprints listed.. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes.
