Golden Era DC key 1943 Superman #23 with a Jack Burnley WW2 Nazi submarine periscope cover. The book is in acceptable condition, the cover remains stapled and all the pages are present and accounted for. We decided to offer this book in a raw, ungraded condition, will leave the restoration and grading to the buyer. We have photographed and uploaded every single page from this book, 53 photos in total are included in the listing. We have composited some pages to get as many photos up as possible. Using the the CGC guidelines our guess is that this book in its current condition falls somewhere at the very bottom of the grading scale. The major flaw on this books is an approximately 2.75" tear at the top right hand corner of the cover, please see the close-up detail photos. There are other numerous creases, small tears and areas of loss throughout the whole book. The spine is cocked and all the pages show heavy toning, yellowing and foxing. The colors however remain incredibly vibrant for an 80 year old comic book. There is a small extra bit of paper between one set of facing pages, please see photo #10. This looks to be a binding defect typical of the production process of the times, no pages are missing. We made an effort to document all glaring condition issues, please do review all the photos as they tell an accurate story of condition. All reasonable offers accepted! Sold as is, all sales final.
