This coolant filtration system for the Duramax filters a small amount of coolant with each pass. Plus, the filters also remove all solid particles. Typically you will use three filters in the first nine months. Once the initial nine months has passed, we recommend you replace the filter once a year. The Rudy's Diesel coolant filter kit comes with everything necessary for a complete installation. The coolant filter should be replaced several times within the first year of having this kit installed. The first filter should be replaced within the first 500 miles as it will catch the most debris. The second filter should be replaced at about 3,000 miles. The third filter should be replaced after the first year. The intervals may vary depending on the amount of debris in the engine. We recommend cutting open the filters to determine how many times and how often the filter should be replaced in the first year. If the filter is still very dirty after the second interval, you may want to do an additional filter change in between the 3,000 mile mark and the end of the year. You MUST contact us within 30 days of the shipment date in order for us to accept a return. The item in which you are returning MUST be unused, uninstalled, in the original condition, and in the original packaging. To begin the return process you MUST contact us to obtain an RA number and RA form (if applicable) prior to sending the item back. Returns will be jeopardized at the customer’s expense if they are sent back without a return authorization number. All returned items are subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%. Labor, installation, surcharges or any other applicable fees from the original purchase are non-refundable. If you are returning an item due to an error caused by Rudy’s Performance Parts or its business partners (i.e., damaged or defective items, incorrect part shipped, etc.), we will cover all freight charges on the replacement items. We will not be able to send out a replacement part without payment. You are welcome to pay for a replacement item and then receive a refund when the original item is received back, otherwise, we won’t be able to send a replacement until the original item is back.
