Tiger eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock that is a golden to red-brown colour with a silky lustre. The undulating contrasting bands of colour and lustre make it a popular member of the quartz group. Average piece size: 2.5cm - 5cm2. Please note these are natural specimens so natural variations in size and shape do occur however care is taken to ensure pieces are with the average size specified. On average, you can expect to receive 11-13 pieces per kilogram.
